The Complex was established in 1994. Main lines of activity: mechanics of strength and fracture of constructions under low
temperatures; Main practical achievements: production technique for diamond stone-cutting instruments and technology of diamond powder recuperation, have been developed and implemented; the process of antirust coatings deposition to the inside of the tubes has been designed; the facility for cold gas-dynamic deposition of antirust coatings to the inside of the tubes is designed and constructed; the facility for repeated shock testing of metal construction elements and machine parts under low temperatures is designed and constructed. International relations Business partnership with Doctor Finch company, Germany; Association agreement with TOO-TASH company, Kirgizia. Analytical Center The Analytical Center was established in 1995 as a part of the Presidium of the Yakut Scientific Center of the Siberian Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The Director is Candidate of Chemistry, Albert P.Kapitonov. The main objective of the Center is analysis of different kinds of assays, needed for carrying out planned and contractual scientific-research works. Experimental-Methodics Seismological Party 677891 Yakutsk, Prospect Lenina 39 The head is Alexander G.Larionov The Party consists of 57 employees. The year of foundation - 1979. The Party carries out works on the program Federal System of Seismological Studies and Earthquake Prediction, ratified by the resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation. 13 seismo-logical stations work on the territory of the Sakha Republic(Yakutia) and the adjacent areas of the Amur region, providing continuous monitoring of the seismic process and the control of other seismic energy sources. The main purpose of seismological stations is detection and investigation of earthquakes occurring on the territory of Yakutia, which are, as a rule, of low intensity. Besides, in the framework of the Federal Program, urgent report transmission is provided by the Yakutsk Seismological station, concerning earthquakes occurring in Russia, CIS, and the Globe on the whole. In the framework of international projects, work on the GSN system (Global Seismological Net) is being carried out. Two Seismological stations IRIS (Yakutsk and Tiksy), and two stations of the University of Alaska, USA, are functioning on the territory of the Republic. The data obtained by these stations is transmitted to the world data processing centers (Obninsk, Russia and Albuquerque, USA). For the first time, in cooperation with.Columbia University, USA, satellite observations GPS have been carried out in Yakutsk and Tiksy, and stationary observation point is created in.Yakutsk for installing the GPS system in 1997. |
