Philology, Member of the Academy of Sciences Vasily A.Robbeck The employees of the Institute amount to 88 people, including
2 Doctors of Sciences and 20 Candidates of Sciences. The Institute's scientists are
members of the World Association of Scientists of Indigenous Peoples of the World, and of
international organizations of experts on indigenous peoples of the North (ADEAN). The
Institute has the Turukhanskaya ethno-ecological laboratory in Turukhansk, Krasnoyarsk
Territory, the printing-house Severoved- (specialist on the North), the People's
Craftswomen Association, the Association of Musicians and People's Narrators ilkan, the
Center on designing the textbooks. The Institute carries out scientific-methodological
supervision of the Scientific-industrial experimental station Olenevod (Reindeer-Breeder),
experimental schools-laboratories of Yukagirs in Nelemninskaya secondary school. Evens in
Yuchugeiskaya secondary school, northern Yakuts in Khatyngnakhskaya secondary school. Major scientific interests of the Institute are the following: Fundamental research on developing the scientific bases for
economic, sociopolitical, ethnocultural, and language revival and development of the
minorities of Russia's North-East. |
