Among research workers there are 5 Corresponding Members of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 12 Members of the Academy of Sciences of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), 5 Members and Corresponding Members of the International Academy of Engineering, 5 Members and Corresponding Members of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, 20 Members of various other Academies of the Russian Federation.

Year of foundation:

1947 - Yakut Scientific-Research Base of the USSR Academy of Sciences;
1949 - Yakut Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences;
1957 - Yakut Branch of the Siberian Division of the USSR Academy of Sciences;
1988 - Yakut Scientific Center of the Siberian Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
