Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

The Organization Committee of the youth competition "The Violin of the North" is announcing the carrying out the Third Competition, which will take place from the 18th to 25th of June 2005 in Yakutsk on the basis of the Highest School of Music of Sakha (Yakutia) Republic. And it invites all violinists of your Region aged 7 - 21 to take part in it, it expects all willing to show one's worth in the creative competition in the most Northern contest of the world, to get acquainted with the unique nature of the North and hospitality of the Yakutian people and to take away the titles and memorable prizes and a Grand-Prize of the competition in case of luck.

The International Youth Competition "The Violin of the North" has been winning the bigger authority in the world and is a member of the Association of the music competitions of Russia and after the III Competition it has all chances to become a member of the International Union of the Youth Competitions.

The International Jury of the competition will be traditionally headed by the People's Artist, professor of Moscow State Conservatory Eduard Davidovich Grach.

All participants and accompanying people will live in the most picturesque place - in the "Canadian village", where the Highest School of Music is situated. Expenses on accommodation and nutrition will be covered by us.
